project overview
This project focused on redesigning an existing e-commerce website that sells traditional Dutch products to customers in the United States. The goal was to improve usability, visual appeal, and overall functionality for a smoother shopping experience tailored to Dutch nationals and expats abroad. Through expert analysis and heuristic evaluation, several key pain points were identified. The original site presented several usability and design issues that affected the shopping experience. The redesign aimed to resolve these by introducing a cleaner grid system, refreshed store logo, consistent product listings, improved navigation patterns, and clearer user feedback during interactions. The result was a modernised concept that enhanced both functionality and aesthetic appeal, creating a smoother and more engaging experience for users.
